79a1bbee8b Using declarations in inheritance hierarchy improvements. 
- Improved documentation for using declarations.
- Issue new warning WARN_LANG_USING_NAME_DIFFERENT when there
  is a conflict in the target language name to be used when
  introducing a method via a using declaration. Previously
  the method was silently ignored. Issue #1840. Issue #655.

017900d57e Extern template tweaks 
Document extern template functions support.
Extern templates result in new warning to differentiate
from template explicit instantiation definition warning.

9ddc9dceb7 Remove support for $source and $target 
These were officially deprecated in 2001, and attempts to use them have
resulted in a warning (including a pointer to what to update them to)
for most if not all of that time.

Fixes #1984

c3d652c785 Fix the handling of director classes with final methods 
Generated SwigDirector_* classes were attempting to override
methods marked as final.

In addition, give a warning if the destructor of a director class is
final.

Closes #564.

9defd8e033 Add support for differentiating target language statuses 
Three status: Disabled, Experimental and Supported.

Any target language classified as 'Experimental' will issue new warning
524 SWIGWARN_LANG_EXPERIMENTAL.
Any target language classified as 'Disabled' will error out.

Languages will be classified in forthcoming commits.

b80f4dc5e2 Restrict the name used in %extend to be just the struct/class name and not a typedef to a class/struct. Typedefs were only partially working anyway. Anonymous struct typedefs excluded. Deprecate with a warning for now. 2013-02-18 19:53:37 +00:00

aa61c716a8 Stop generating uncompileable code when using nested template classes in functions. Replace SWIGWARN_PARSE_NESTED_CLASS with SWIGWARN_PARSE_NAMED_NESTED_CLASS and SWIGWARN_PARSE_UNNAMED_NESTED_CLASS for named and unnamed nested classes respectively. Named nested class ignored warnings can now be suppressed by name using %warnfilter
