58863bba59 Change C# bool[] typemaps to marshall as 1-byte 
Default marshalling for bool[] now uses 1-byte entries in the array, to
ensure array contents is as expected in C++.

When running under mono csharp_lib_arrays_bool testcase will fail
due to an apparent bug in mono. Works correctly under Microsoft's
runtime. See https://github.com/mono/mono/issues/15592

2b5499a262 Slight simplification of test-suite build for new out-of-source changes 
Provide default SRCDIR and SCRIPTDIR variables in common.mk and override
only where needed.

f574a34155 Allow examples and test-suite to be built out of source tree 
- Examples/Makefile.in rules use SRCDIR as the relative source directory

- ./config.status replicates Examples/ source directory tree in build
  directory, and copies each Makefile to build directory, prefixed with
  a header which sets SRCDIR to source directory

- Examples/test-suite/.../Makefile.in set SRCDIR from Autoconf-set srcdir

- Examples/test-suite/errors/Makefile.in needs to filter out source
  directory from SWIG error messages

- Lua: embedded interpreters are passed location of run-time test

- Python: copy run-time scripts to build directory because of 2to3
  conversion; import_packages example copies __init__.py from source
  directory; test-suite sets SCRIPTDIR to location of run-time tests

- Javascript: binding.gyp renamed to binding.gyp.in so that $srcdir
  can be substituted with SRCDIR; removed './' from require() statements
  so that NODE_PATH can be used to point Node.js to build directory

d5b765d388 Whitespace cleanup of all Makefiles* 
- some of the %.clean rules in the test-suite Makefiles were using a single tab
  as an empty rule, dangerous! I've replaced these with the safer '@exit 0'.

48a2e0bdea Correct top_{src,build}dir definitions in csharp and java test suite. 
The ".." artificially appended to these variables was enough to make the build
work in the source directory but broke down when the build directory was
different from the source one. Remove this hack and use absolute path to the
build directory instead to ensure that it's still valid even when csharp/java
makefiles invoke swig_and_compile_{c,cpp} macros from a subdirectory.

db83e51441 modify test-suite (barring python atm) to not rely on the -I path to find the input .i file - removes the new warning 125 and sets up the test-suite for testing with ccache. This change required the use of -outcurrentdir and moving the .i files from the language subdirectories to the directory above along with some .i file name changes.

5d0b27c7a6 test asymmetric type marshalling - out attribute for ctype, imtype and cstype typemaps. 
also test fix for garbage collection problem where the proxy class was being collected before an unmanaged function that used the object returned - problem was most visible in multithreaded environment, so the test kicks off a few threads
